Last week, in Jablonec nad Nisou, around the Jizera Mountains, Czech Republic, the eD system Silvini Team completed their fourth Pro Team’s training camp ahead of the winter season.

Last week, in Jablonec nad Nisou, around the Jizera Mountains, Czech Republic, the eD system Silvini Team completed their fourth Pro Team’s training camp ahead of the winter season.

“We have planned a system of special training camps throughout the year, and we are gradually moving towards a clear goal – to achieve better results in the winter at Ski Classics races. This time we focused the whole camp mainly on rollerskis, and it was primarily intended for the skiers of the race team, who other members joined for individual training sessions,” says the Pro Team Director Marek Pazderský in a press release.

The first training session of the day was on Thursday, with two long hill climbs from Jablonec up to Bedřichov and two speed and endurance sections, all of course double poling. The evening was followed by a technique analysis and discussion on how to improve.

On Friday, the program was a morning run with poles for two hours to the Bramberk tower. In the afternoon, the group went on a session through Černá Studnica, Zásada, Tanvald, Josefův Důl, and Bedřichov, which gave about 70km in the hills with some speed sections.

On Saturday, the Pro Team had a hard session on rollerskis from Jablonec to Železný Brod and back. In the afternoon, most of the Team went jogging. In the evening, the group had a beautiful lecture about the ascent of Karolína Grohová to Broad Peak Mountain, 8.047 m above sea level.

Sunday brought slightly rainy weather, but that didn’t deter the group from the final long ride in the Český Dub region, where several beautiful side roads are perfect for rollerskis. The men ended up skiing for over 5 hours, despite the slightly inclement weather and a sometimes strong headwind, and skied almost 90 km, climbing 1,500 vertical meters.

“So, in 4 days in the Jizera Mountains, we skied about 280km on rollerskis and ran 30km. Now we are preparing ourselves again, and in September, our skiers will go to the Czech Championship on rollerskis from Jablonec to Královka. At the beginning of October, we are preparing for the peak of the summer season – Ski Classics Challengers and at the same time the Czech Championship in the race Lipnolopet, with 55km, which will take place on October 8 in Lipno,” concludes Marek Pazderský.

Lipnolopet is also part of the EDS Skiroll Classics series, organized by the Pro Team eD system Silvini team. Together, they organize seven rollerski events, with Lipnolopet being the grand finale and part of the Ski Classics Challengers calendar.
