Niskanen Siblings Win Again At Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 2

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 2, a Ski Classics Challengers event, took place today with a 50km long-distance race in freestyle technique in Vuontisjärvi, Finland. Get to know the winners.

After another long day of skiing on Stage 2, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw the siblings Kerttu and Iivo Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, winning again and showing solid performances.

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 2 – Women’s Race

In the women’s race, Kerttu Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, with a time of 2:10:57.4, won ahead of Eveliina Piippo, Dæhlie – Nordic Teamwear Pro Team, in second place and a time of 2:11:04.3.

Third place went to Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Koutsi365.fi, with a total time of 2:12:04.3.

  1. Kerttu Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, 2:10:57.4
  2. Eveliina Piippo, Dæhlie – Nordic Teamwear Pro Team, +6.9
  3. Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Koutsi365.fi, +1:06.9

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 1 – Men’s Race

In the men’s competition, stage 2, the winner was Iivo Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, with a time of 2:01:48.9.

Remi Lindholm, Dæhlie – Nordic Teamwear Pro Team, finished in second place, with a total time of 2:01:51.1, followed by Thomas Bing, xc-ski.de A|N Skimarathon Team, completing the podium in third position and a total time of 2:01:57.4.

  1. Iivo Niskanen, Lapland Hotels Olos, 2:01:48.9
