Max Olex and Sigrid Mutscheller Winners of Ganghoferlauf Skating

The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Ganghoferlauf Skating took place today with a 42km race in freestyle technique in Leutasch, Austria.

The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Ganghoferlauf Skating took place today with a 42km race in freestyle technique in Leutasch, Austria.

The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event saw Max Olex, Adidas XCS Team, and Sigrid Mutscheller, Fischer Racing Team/Ruhepulse40.de, win the race with superior form.

In the men’s competition, the winner was Max Olex, Adidas XCS Team, with a time of 1:33:57.6, sprinting a small leading group, with Jakob Milz, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, in the second place. Andreas Weishäupl, Adidas XCS Team, completed the podium in the third position.

In the women’s race, Sigrid Mutscheller, Fischer Racing Team/Ruhepulse40.de, with a time of 1:37:50.6, won ahead of Julia Kuen, Team Futura Alta Quota Trentino, in second place and 1:22 behind. Anna Schmidhofer, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, finished in third place.

As Ganghoferlauf is a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.

Next up in the Visma Ski Classics Challengers is La Savoyarde Ekosport. The French event takes place at La Feclaz on March 13, 2022.
