After a standout Season XVI in the Ski Classics Pro Tour, Louise Lindström will remain with Team Eksjöhus for the upcoming winter.

The Swedish Pro Team athlete, who made her full transition to long-distance skiing last year, impressed in her first full season on the Pro Tour circuit. Lindström won the Youth competition and secured sixth place in the Champion competition, contributing to Team Eksjöhus’ overall victory in the Pro Team competition.

“It feels really good to continue with the team for the coming season. I feel very comfortable in the group and look forward to continuing to develop with my strong teammates,” Louise Lindström said in a team statement on social media.

Lindström joined Team Eksjöhus full-time ahead of Season XVI after a successful career in traditional cross-country skiing, which included a Junior World Championship gold in sprint and multiple U23 World Championship medals.

Her best results in Ski Classics so far came in Season XVI, including fourth place at the Grönklitt ITT and Birkebeinerrennet. She also placed 5th at Vasaloppet and the Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja. In Season XV, 5th place at the Grönklitt ITT had been her top performance.

Reflecting on her ambitions, Lindström said: “Now I want to keep working and become one of the world’s best skiers. That’s what drives me every day.”

With Team Eksjöhus aiming to defend their Pro Team title and improve across individual competitions, Lindström’s development will be one to watch during Season XVII of the Ski Classics Pro Tour.
