Laila Kveli, Team Engcon, has decided to end her Pro Tour career after a long and successful time on the Visma Ski Classics circuit.

“Since there will be no start for me in Ylläs-Levi, I have to realize that the last strike of the season and career has been taken. A little sad not to be able to go to the last race, but I am comforted by thinking about all the ski races I have been able to go and of all of you who have joined me during the journey instead. It’s been a privilege to live the skier life and for that I have so many people to thank!”

Laila Kveli has won Vasaloppet two times, 2013 and 2014, and has an impressive palmarès since her first start at the Visma Ski Classics circuit in 2011, with 65 starts and 9 podiums. Her best result in Season XII was 5th place at La Diagonela.

Last weekend, Laila Kveli won the Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Flyktningerennet with outstanding performance.
