La Venosta proved to be another solid weekend for Team Eksjöhus, as they secured a total of four podium places, further solidifying their position as the Ski Classics Pro Tour’s leading Pro Team.

Team Eksjöhus Pro Team Director Espen Trädal expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, describing it as a “fantastic weekend” where success was achieved with skis, body, and determination.

After an impressive start to the season in Bad Gastein, Team Eksjöhus dominated the Pro Team competition. Despite a strong team effort in the weekend premiere, Trädal had hoped for podium finishes as well, and La Venosta delivered exactly that.

Trädal commended the Pro Team’s efforts, stating, “Once again, a fantastic team effort. Now it’s about managing this in the best way, getting a good start in the New Year when it starts again, and building on it.”

The first podium of the weekend came in the women’s La Venosta Criterium, with Sofie Elebro securing a third-place finish, leading the charge for Team Eksjöhus. Teammate Kati Roivas followed closely, securing fourth place, and Frida Erkers claimed a respectable sixth place.

In the men’s race, it seemed a podium finish was imminent, with seven skiers in the break, including four from Team Eksjöhus, contending for the top spots. However, as the athletes crossed the finish line, it became evident that none of the team’s skiers had managed to secure a podium spot.

Undeterred, Team Eksjöhus bounced back on Sunday for La Venosta ITT, with Kati Roivas earning her first podium finish by claiming third place in the women’s race. Trädal expressed his joy at the achievement, stating, “It’s great that both Sofie and Kati get their first podium places.”

The men’s team continued their impressive performance on Sunday, with Axel Jutterström and Thomas Ødegaarden finishing second and third, respectively. Trädal praised Jutterström, highlighting his accomplishments with the Pink Youth bib and second place overall, noting his remarkable progress and established status as a top skier.
