“A long chapter of my life is coming to an end … I’m very proud of the road traveled so far; skiing has truly been my school of life: strong values, emotions, doubts, victories, failures, reconstructions, encounters, and incredible experiences,” Jeannerod writes on Instagram.

30-year-old Alexis Jeannerod has been a profile in the Pro Tour for the last years. He never reached the podium but did lots of good performances. His best placement in the Pro Tour was sixth place at Birkebeinerrennet in 2019 when he represented eD System Bauer Team. The same year he was seventh at Marcialonga and the year before he finished eighth on the challenging course of Reistadløpet.

In Season XI Jeannerods best placement was 13th at Tåssåsen Criterium 64 in Vålådalen. A race where he showed really offensive skiing.

“I am fortunate to have been able to play on several circuits and thrive on each of them. Today I feel like I have accomplished everything that animated me so far! It was with this feeling that I decided to embark on a new adventure, still dedicated to my passion but on the coaching side this time. I am very motivated to pass on to the younger ones everything I have learned from cross-country skiing,” writes Jeannerod further on Instagram and continues;

“A big THANK YOU to all the people who helped me from near or far during this beautiful trip.”
