The Ski Classics Challengers event, Moraloppet, took place this Saturday with a 42km long-distance skiing race in classic technique from Oxberg to Mora, Sweden. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Sweden, Moraloppet, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Hjalmar Oscarsson and Tova Andersson, both from Team Ramudden, won their respective races with solid performances.

Moraloppet – 42km Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner Hjalmar Oscarsson, Team Ramudden, completed the race in a time of 1:48:50.0.

Alfred Nilsson, Filipstads SF/Team KnowIt, finished in second place, 0.3 seconds behind, followed by Thomas Gifstad, Rustad IL/Team Front Entrprenør, completing the podium in third position and 0.6 seconds back.

  1. Hjalmar Oscarsson, Team Ramudden, 1:48.50.0
  2. Alfred Nilsson, Filipstads SF/Team KnowIt, +0.3
  3. Thomas Gifstad, Rustad IL/Team Front Entrprenør, +0.6
  4. Markus Hallén Johansson, Team Ramudden/Offerdals SK, +0.9
  5. Albin Andersson, Ulriksbergs IK, +1.9

Moraloppet – 42km Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Tova Andersson, Team Ramudden, completing the event in a total time of 2:03:42.2.

Madelene Nord, Bruse Sauerland Ski Team, finished in second place, 2:17.8 back, followed by Karin Wallén, Korsnäs IF SK, 5:12.3 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Tova Andersson, Team Ramudden, 2:03:42.2
  2. Madelene Nord, Bruse Sauerland Ski Team, +2:17.8
  3. Karin Wallén, Korsnäs IF SK, +5:12.3
  4. Emma Hållström, Team Walle Skidklubb/Team Walle, +7:16.8
  5. Maja Heikki, Team GS8, +8:38.5
