La Venosta Open in Italy, a Ski Classics Challengers event initially planned for December 18, will take place on a new date, Saturday, December 17.

La Venosta Open in Italy, a Ski Classics Challengers event initially planned for December 18, will take place on a new date, Saturday, December 17.

According to an update from the Local Organizing Committee, La Venosta Open, a Ski Classics Challengers event in Val Venosta, Italy, will be anticipated from Sunday, December 18, to Saturday, December 17. The change is due to the current snow conditions in Melag, Langtaufers, and for organizational purposes.

The Ski Classics Challengers 34km long-distance race in classic technique will start Saturday, December 17, at 13:00 CET.

Saturday morning, La Venosta Criterium, the third event of Ski Classics Season XIV, is taking place. And on the same day, a shorter 26-kilometer race is also on the program.

The organizing committee welcomes all participants and promises an unforgettable experience for each participant and spectator.

As La Venosta Open is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender. 

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour, or Challengers events, professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when subscribing to Ski Classics online community proxcskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.

One of the central features of MyPages is that you get your global SC ranking. The SC Ranking is a live updated international ranking, unique in combining women and men, professional and recreational skiers in one single list.
