The Ski Classics Challengers Les Belles Combes will be held in less than a month. The long-distance skiing event in classic technique will take place on December 22, 2024, in Les Moussières, France. 

On Sunday, December 22, the 42-kilometer-long Les Belles Combes will occur in the middle of the Haut Jura Nature Parc, France.

Les Belles Combes takes place in the magical ‘Hautes Combes,’ offering tracks through beautiful landscapes, only one hour drive from Geneva, Switzerland, and 1.5 hours from French cities like Lyon, Annecy, and Besançon.

The event has over 40 years of tradition. With exceptional snow conditions in the area and perfectly groomed tracks, the Local Organizing Committee is ready to welcome recreational and professional skiers alike.

Apart from the 42km long event in classic technique on December 22, 2024, which is part of the Ski Classics Challengers series, the event also offers freestyle technique races of 30km and 15km on Saturday, December 21, 2024, as well as classic technique distances of 23km and 15km on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Registration for the race “Les Belles Combes” is Open!

We are delighted to announce that registration for the long-awaited race “Les Belles Combes” is now open from November! This annual event, which attracts runners of all levels and different nationalities, will take place on December 21 and 22 in Les Moussières (France).

Why Participate?

• Sublime Course: Enjoy a magnificent course through the Hautes-Combes, the emblematic place of our race.
• Festive Atmosphere: Join a community of cross-country skiing enthusiasts and enjoy a friendly atmosphere throughout the course with several refreshment points that will enhance your course. You also have the possibility to have a meal at the end of your race.
• Prizes and Rewards: A souvenir lot will be given to each participant when receiving the bib. Many prizes will be awarded during the awards ceremony. A combined ranking will be made on the 30km and 42km.

The different courses

We offer several courses so that everyone can participate according to their level and preferences. Saturday will be dedicated to skating, and Sunday to classic:

• Rando du Bleu (free style)
• 30km (skating)
• 15 km (skating and classic)
• 23km (classic)
• 42km (classic)

Registration Fees

*Holders of a license from the Swiss and Spanish federations pay the FFS license rate.

The meal on site will be offered at 15€.

As Les Belles Combes 42km classic race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for season 2024/2025 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.
