The Ski Classics Challengers event Vaajmarathon is a 42km long-distance rollerski race in classic technique taking place this Saturday, July 30, at Rötviken, Sweden.

A unique rollerski race from Rötviken, Sweden, to Sørli, Norway, crossing the border.

Vaajmarathon will take place in the beautiful area of Hotagen, only 100km from Östersund. The organizers invite professional and recreational skiers to a rollerskiing event crossing the border to Sørli, Norway. 

Vaajmarathon is organized for the fourth time, and the race has a unique feature offering a memorable experience to participants. They have a chance to cross the border to Norway during the race. The course stretches from Rötviken to the Norwegian border, finishing at Sørli, Norway.

Many of the top athletes in Ski Classics live in Östersund, Sweden, which is quite close to Rötviken, and the race has attracted some of the strongest athletes from the Pro Tour. 

Some Pro Tour skiers have already confirmed their participation in this year’s edition. Ida Dahl, Eddie Edström, Anton Elvseth (Team Engcon), Hedda Bångman (Team Nordic Experience), Oskar Kardin (Team Ragde Charge), and Alfred Busqkvist (Team Ramudden) are some of the athletes on the start line and ready to test their form.

As Vaajmarathon is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender. A list of Ski Classics Challengers rolleski events with confirmed dates for season 2022/2023 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, recreational and professional skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when subscribing to Ski Classics online community proxcskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performances and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.
