Brandner-Egger And Riedl Winners At Ring Frei

The Ski Classics Challengers event Ring Frei, a 42km long-distance rollerski race in freestyle technique, took place today in Salzburg, Austria.

At the end of the day, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw Alexander Brandner-Egger, Speedmanggeis, and Hanna Riedl, Team Zipps, win the race with outstanding performances.

In the men’s competition, the winner was Alexander Brandner-Egger, Speedmanggeis, with a total time of 1:19:29.8. Josua Strübel, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, finished in second place in a tight finish, 0.9 seconds behind. Fabian Kattnig, Sportunion Rosenbach, 23.3 seconds back, completed the podium in third place.

In the women’s race, Hanna Riedl, Team Zipps, with a time of 1:37:08.8, won ahead of Anna Schmidhofer, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, in second place.

As Ring Frei is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
