The Ski Classics Challengers event Vaajmarathon took place last weekend with a 43km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique from Mebygda, Norway, crossing the border to Rötviken, Sweden. Check out the highlights!

Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes matched their skills in a tough race from Mebygda, Norway, crossing the border to Rötviken, Sweden. After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers Vaajmarathon event saw Hanna Lodin, Team Engcon, and Ole Jørgen Bruvoll, also from Team Engcon, win the race with solid performances.

Vaajmarathon Women’s Race

In the women’s race, Hanna Lodin, Team Engcon, won with a total time of 1:47:21.8. Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, finished in second place and 1:50.7 back. Hedda Bångman, Vltava Fund Ski Team, 1:52.0 behind, finished in third place.

Vaajmarathon Men’s Race

In the men’s competition, the winner was Ole Jørgen Bruvoll, Team Engcon, with a total time of 1:39:12.9. Max Novak, Team Aker Dæhlie, finished in second place, 0.4 seconds behind, followed by Oskar Algotsson, Åsarna IK, 0.7 seconds back and completing the podium in the third position.
