Bellingham and Pessey Winners of Day 3 and Overall at Arctic Circle Race

The third stage of the 160km Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race took place this Sunday with a 51km long-distance race in classic technique in Sisimiut, Greenland. Get to know the third day and overall winners.

After a long day of skiing in Greenland, the Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race saw Phillip Bellingham and Iris Pessey, representing Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, winning their respective third-day races and the overall competition.

Arctic Circle Race – Day 3 – Men’s Race

In the men’s race, the winner of day 3 was Phillip Bellingham, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, completing the race in a time of 3:09:28.0.

Martin Møller, Rossignol, finished in second place, with a total time of 3:09:29.0, followed by Kristian Kristoffersen, KJ Greenland/HR, completing the podium in the third position and a total time of 3:16:49.0.

  1. Phillip Bellingham, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, 3:09:28.0
  2. Martin Møller, Rossignol, 3:09:29.0

Arctic Circle Race – Day 3 – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, the winner was Iris Pessey, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, with a total time of 3:44:25.0. 

Marie Lundblad, NSP, finished in second place, with a time of 4:18:50.0, followed by Anna Šuštar, with a total time of 4:26:06.0, and completing the podium in the third position.

As Arctic Circle Race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
