The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina are just around the corner, and the United States has already finalized its biathlon team for the Games.

Milano Cortina, Italy, will host the next Winter Olympic Games, with the Opening Ceremony scheduled for February 6, 2026. Biathlon will feature 10 medal events over 14 days of competition, culminating in the women’s 12.5km mass start on February 21, 2026.

According to a press release from the U.S. Biathlon, four additional athletes have been selected for the Olympic Games in Milano Cortina 2026. Two women and two men, Luci Anderson, Joanne Reid, Paul Schommer, and Sean Doherty, were nominated, completing the team after four Olympic spots had already been confirmed in December 2025.

“The U.S. Biathlon-run Olympic time trials concluded on January 5 after three days of competition in Antholz, Italy,” the press release stated. “The U.S. Biathlon International Competition Committee (ICC) has nominated the following athletes to the 2026 Olympic Team.”

“All selections to the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team are subject to approval by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee,” the press release added.

  • Feb 10 – 13:30 CET: 20 km Individual, men
  • Feb 11 – 14:15 CET: 15 km Individual, women
  • Feb 13 – 14:00 CET: 10 km Sprint, men
  • Feb 14 – 14:00 CET: 7.5 km Sprint, women
  • Feb 15 – 11:15 CET: 12.5 km Pursuit, men & 14:45 CET: 10 km Pursuit, women
  • Feb 17 – 14:30 CET: Men’s 4×7.5 km Relay
  • Feb 18 – 14:45 CET: Women’s 4×6 km Relay
  • Feb 20 – 14:15 CET: 15 km Mass Start, men
  • Feb 21 – 14:15 CET: 12.5 km Mass Start, women
