In less than a week, the World’s biathlon elite will meet again — and there are now fewer than 50 days left until the 2025/2026 World Cup season begins. These are the sharpest shooters on the circuit.

Norway dominated the overall World Cup standings in the 2024/2025 season and is also well represented in the statistics of the most accurate biathletes. Based on last winter’s World Cup results, here are the ten most accurate biathletes on the range.

Top 10 most accurate shooters – IBU World Cup 2024/2025

  1. Sturla Holm Lægreid, Norway – 93.3%
  2. Jakov Fak, Slovenia – 91.0%
  3. Eric Perrot, France – 89.89%
  4. Tarjei Bø, Norway, 89.0%
  5. Simon Eder, Austria, 89.0%
  6. Justus Strelow, Germany, 88.7%
  7. Anton Dudchenko, Ukraine, 88.3%
  8. Endre Strømsheim, Norway, 87.6%
  9. Vitalii Mandzyn, Ukraine, 87.4%
  10. Florent Claude, Belgium, 87.2%

The 2025/2026 Biathlon World Cup kicks off in Östersund on November 29. The season includes eight regular World Cup rounds, plus the Winter Olympics in Italy.

IBU Cup

In the IBU Cup, Norway demonstrated impressive consistency, with three athletes ranking among the top four most accurate shooters. Isak Frey, who finished second overall in the season standings, led the Norwegian contingent with a total shooting accuracy of 89.1%, just narrowly behind Italy’s Iacopo Leonesio.

The 2025/2026 IBU Cup season starts in Obertilliach, Austria, in early December and concludes in Lake Placid, USA, in March.
