Double victory for the Swedish star
Martin Ponsiluoma followed up Saturday’s photo-finish victory by also winning Sunday’s supersprint at the Loop One Festival.
Once again, it was Martin Ponsiluoma’s skiing that propelled him to the top of the podium in Munich. Despite one missed shot, he won the supersprint on Sunday, finishing four seconds ahead of Norway’s Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen in the final.
Ponsiluoma impressed in the qualifying heats, winning his heat with a perfect shooting performance. In the final, he started with a miss in both of the first two shooting rounds but finished strong with two clean shots. This was enough to surpass his competitors and secure the victory.

Among the women, Anna Magnusson had a strong qualifying round, shooting clean and winning her heat. However, her performance in the final was less impressive, with a total of four misses, leaving her unable to replicate her excellent third-place finish from Saturday. She ended up in eleventh place. Johanna Skottheim also made it to the final but finished in fifteenth and last place. Elvira Öberg had a tougher day, missing out in the qualifying heat. The victory went to the experienced Italian Lisa Vittozzi.
