In early September, the third stage of the DSV Marathon Series took place in Carlsgrün. With victories by Luisa Grießbaum in the women’s race and Bernhard Langer in the men’s race, the series standings were reshuffled.

On September 6, points for the DSV Marathon Series were once again awarded at the “Rollski-Run 2026” in Carlsgrün, where the men covered 40km over 8 laps on an approximately 5km loop, and the women covered 25km over 5 laps. All participants who took part in the marathon series and wanted to collect points were provided with uniform roller skis from the brand Kästle.

Luisa Grießbaum from Cibes Lift Ski-Willy Marathon Team won the shorter distance in 1:10:00 in the women’s race. In the men’s race, Bernhard Langer from SC Monte Kaolino Hirschau won in 1:35:40.8. Thus, both winners from Carlsgrün head to the fourth and final stage of the series as leaders.

The current overall podium of the DSV Marathon Series stands as follows:

Women

1. place: Luisa Grießbaum (82 points)
2. place: Melina Schöttes (60 points)
3. place: Birgit Wagner (24 points)

Men

1. place: Bernhard Langer (71 points)
2. place: Alexander Elsenhans (59 points)
3. place: Viktor Renner (56 points)

The final stage of the DSV Marathon Series will take place on October 11, 2026, in Ruhla. There, a maximum of 30 points can be earned with a victory, meaning no winner has been decided yet.
