After winning three gold medals at the Olympics last winter, the 34-year-old has even more to celebrate.

The Olympic champion had to withdraw from the Blink Festival last week. The reason was to be present for the arrival of his first child.

Quentin Fillon Maillet and his partner Lydie Marguet have welcomed their first child. The couple announced the news on social media. Their daughter Léana was born on August 5, the same day as the Lysebotn Opp – the first competition of the Blink Festival.

“Welcome to Léana, who has turned our world upside down with love since August 5, 2026,” the proud parents wrote.

Championship performer

The French national team veteran is known for peaking at the right moments. Quentin Fillon Maillet made his World Cup debut in 2013, but had his major breakthrough nearly a decade later.

At the 2022 Olympics, he won five medals out of six possible, including two golds. The following season proved to be a tough one for him.

Last winter, he secured three golds and one bronze: gold in the mixed relay on the first day of the championships, in the sprint, and in the men’s relay, along with a bronze in the mass start.

Quentin Fillon Maillet also boasts six World Championship golds.
