From Ski Classics to new coaching role at Team Konnerud
This winter, she was once again a key figure in Ski Classics. Now, the winner of the Climb bib is taking on a completely new challenge: coaching the ambitious Team Konnerud.
Silje Øyre Slind revealed a few weeks ago that she is retiring from competitive skiing. The Team Aker Dæhlie athlete has been one of the dominant competitors in Ski Classics over the past few years.

At that time, it was unclear what her next steps would be. However, Silje Øyre Slind has now been announced as the new junior coach for Team Konnerud, one of Norway’s most ambitious women’s initiatives.
At Konnerud, the former long-distance skier will join the coaching staff alongside Mattis Sjøli, Tinus Dahl, Magne Lund Hansen, and Lage Sofienlund.
The team will consist of 60 junior and senior athletes for the upcoming season, as stated by Team Konnerud on Instagram. Silje will combine her coaching role at Konnerud with continuing her work at the sports program at Drammen VGS, where she has also been employed in recent seasons.
