Rooted in the Czech Republic, the eD system RJS Team is ready for another Ski Classics winter season with a strong group of dedicated athletes combining experience, solid performances, and a promising youth program.

The eD system RJS Team comprises thirteen Pro Team athletes — six women and seven men — including five Cubs skiers from the Czech Republic, Germany, and Sweden: Emmi Nyberg (2004), Laura Stichling (1995), Anna-Marie Hejná (1999), Karolína Grohová (1990), Eliška Šibravová (2002), Tina Miranová (2008), Thomas Bing (1990), Václav Sedláček (1986), Aleš Bohatý (1996), Petr Kolaja (2000), Matyáš Martan (2004), Jáchym Poul (2007), Jakub Bečvář (2005).

Experienced leaders and rising talent

On the men’s side, German skier Thomas Bing continues as the team’s top performer, with several strong results last season — 8th at the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon and 7th at Grönklitt Criterium — and a 28th-place finish in the overall Champion competition.

Václav Sedláček remains one of the most reliable members of the Czech squad, consistently finishing around the top 40, with solid results, including 37th at Reistadløpet and Grönklitt Criterium, 41st at Jizerská 50, and 43rd at the Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja. Aleš Bohatý also showed steady form, reaching 53rd at Jizerská50 and 56th at both the Bad Gastein ITT and Engadin La Diagonela.

Among the younger athletes, Youth skier Petr Kolaja focused on Ski Classics Challengers events last season, participating in seven races and starting at the Pro Tour event, the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon, where he finished 68th.

In the Cubs category, Matyáš Martan stood out with four Pro Tour starts and several top-80 results, including 77th places at both the Bad Gastein ITT and 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon. Jáchym Poul impressed this summer with a 9th place at the roller ski event Energamo Lipnolopet. At the same time, Jakub Bečvář showed consistency in the Ski Classics Challengers circuit, finishing 10th at Ganghoferlauf Classic and 11th at Gsiesertal Lauf Classic last winter.

Consistency among women

In the women’s field, Anna-Marie Hejná delivered a strong season, finishing 30th overall in the Champion competition and achieving several top-30 results, including 21st at Jizerská50 and 23rd at Marcialonga Bodø.

Karolína Grohová followed closely, finishing 31st overall with notable highlights including 16th at the Bad Gastein Criterium and 22nd at Marcialonga Bodø. German skier Laura Stichling completed two Pro Tour events — 26th at Jizerská50 and 43rd at Birkebeinerrennet — and finished the season ranked 84th overall.

Youth focus and future potential

The remaining three athletes are young and full of motivation as they step further into the long-distance circuit.

Youth skier Eliška Šibravová showed strong form this summer with a 4th place at Energamo Lipnolopet. Swedish Cubs skier Emmi Nyberg had an impressive Challengers season with several top-eight Ski Classics Challengers results at Bessemerloppet, Billingens Långlopp, and Moraloppet. The youngest team member, Tina Miranová, joins the long-distance scene this winter, representing the next generation of Czech skiing talent.

A team built on passion and continuity

“The eD system RJS Team has been a traditional participant in Ski Classics since the very beginning. Among us, you’ll find experienced matadors such as Thomas Bing and Vašek Sedláček. Still, we also give space to young competitors, whom we strive to nurture into new stars of long-distance skiing,” says Pro Team Director Marek Pazderský.

“Skiing is everything to us — it’s fun, but we don’t take anything lightly. We try to create the best possible conditions so our athletes can be competitive,” Pazderský continues. “With the racing team and our other members, of whom we currently have around 200, we go to races and training camps. We all strive to be as well-prepared as possible. In addition, in winter we organize several races on roller skis (e.g., Lipnolopet) and long-distance skis (e.g., BoBolopet 90 km).”

For Season XVII, the eD system RJS Team will continue its long tradition in Ski Classics, aiming to be one of the strongest non-Scandinavian Pro Teams in the circuit.
