Heilmann and Geisler winners of Arctic Circle Race stage 1

The first stage of the 160km Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race took place this Friday with a 52km long-distance race in classic technique in Sisimiut, Greenland. Get to know the first-day winners.

The first stage of the 160km Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race took place this Friday with a 52km long-distance race in classic technique in Sisimiut, Greenland. Get to know the first-day winners.

After a full day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race saw Majaq Heilman and Nivi H. Geisler, Inuplan SkiTeam, winning their respective stage 1 races.

Arctic Circle Race – Stage 1 – Men’s Race

In the men’s race, the winner of day 1 was Majaq Heilmann who completed the race in a time of 2:49:04.

Martin Møller finished in second place, with a time of 3:11:49, followed by Qulutak Møller, completing the podium in the third position and a total time of 3:43:13.

Arctic Circle Race – Stage 1 – Top 3 Men

  1. Majaq Heilmann, 2:49:04
  2. Martin Møller, 3:11:49
  3. Qulutak Møller, 3:43:13

Arctic Circle Race – Stage 1 – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, the winner was Nivi H. Geisler, Inuplan SkiTeam, with a total time of 4:07:56. 

Sasja Hendriksen Joelsen, NDO Supply A/S finished in second place with a time of 4:12:58, followed by Danielle Bridle, KTI Sisimiut, with a total time of 4:17:56, and completing the podium in the third position.

  1. Nivi H. Geisler, Inuplan SkiTeam , 4:07:56
  2. Sasja Hendriksen Joelsen, NDO Supply A/S, 4:12:58

As the Arctic Circle Race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
