Season XI’s rising star Jenny Larsson is making a comeback in the Ski Classics next season, this time as part of Team Ragde Charge.

Pro Team director Jørgen Aukland is proud to present the team’s newest Pro Tour skier: Jenny Larsson from Östersund, Sweden.

Larsson had her big breakthrough as a long-distance skier in Season XI, when she won the 65-kilometer-long La Diagonela in Switzerland by a superior margin.

Larsson was predicted a bright future as a long-distance skier, and many expected that she would take over the long-distance throne after Britta Johansson Norgren. But after a fall in Marcialonga, Larsson suffered a tenacious injury to her wrist that caused her to lose the entire 2021/22 season.

“It has been tough mentally, but I have always been determined that I wanted to return. Now the wrist is finally good again, and I am extremely motivated ahead of next season,” says Larsson.

Now the 26-year-old is finally back, more offensive and ambitious than ever.

“Jenny is insanely hungry and has the attitude needed to fight at the very top. I remember how raw she was at double poling before she was injured, and I am impressed with how systematically she has worked to get back,” says Aukland, who has grand ambitions on behalf of the Swede.

Larsson will be an important piece in Team Ragde Charges’ quest to take back the overall winner in the team competition in Ski Classics. This year, the team was top 3, despite the overall winner in the men’s field with Andreas Nygaard.

“We have been looking for a women skier of Jenny’s caliber for a long time and are very happy that she chose us when she will now return to the starting line,” says Aukland.

However, Larsson gets a big gap to fill: Last week, Marit Bjørgen announced that she is putting her long-distance skiing career on the shelf after two seasons in Team Ragde Charge.

Team Ragde Charge, led by Magnar Dalen and the Aukland brothers, will soon announce the entire squad for the 2022/23 season.
