Last season’s sixth-place overall and previous winner of the pink youth bib Sofie Elebro joins Team Eksjöhus. Previous year’s Ski Classics debutant Frida Erkers also signs for the 2022/2023 season.

“We get two fantastic girls who are hungry to develop and compete. With Sofie and Frida, we raise the level of both camp and competition and lift the whole team. We look forward to building the strongest women’s team in Ski Classics,” says Espen Trældal, Team Eksjöhus sports manager.

Sofie Elebro made her first season in the Ski Classics in 2018/2019, when she also won the pink youth bib. The 29-year-old came from a strong season in Team Næringsbanken and finished sixth overall. Highlights of the season include a solid sixth place in the tough Reistadløpet and a fifth place in the Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge.

“It feels incredibly fun to be part of a strong Swedish team that has shown great success this winter. I look forward to developing further as a long-distance skier and aim to, with the help of the team, make it into the top-5 next season,” says Sofie Elebro.

Frida Erkers made her debut in Ski Classics last season as part of Team Robinson Trentino. After a tough start, she finished the season strong with two seventh places in the Årefjällsloppet and Ylläs-Levi. There were three top 10 places and a twelfth place in the overall for the 30-year-old from Leksand.

“Team Eksjöhus presented a very professional approach that could not be turned down. New challenges have always motivated me, and I look forward to being part of a very strong team,” says Frida Erkers.

Together with the captain and Norwegian national team skier Magni Smedås, Sofie Elebro and Frida Erkers make the women’s Team Eksjöhus during the 2022/2023 season.
