The Finnish Roller Ski Championships ran across three days in Kuopio, from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20, 2026, with titles decided in a hill climb, a freestyle sprint, and a 10km individual skate. Check out the results.

Emmi Lämsä was the weekend’s standout, taking two of the three women’s titles, while Niilo Mäkinen medaled in all three races without winning gold after Friday.

Friday: Ray and Mäkinen win a new event on the Puijo hill

The championships opened with a new addition to the program: a 1.7km hill climb on the slopes leading up to Puijo, raced as a classic individual event.

Saturday: Vuorinen and Lämsä take the sprint skating titles

The second day of competition brought the skating sprints, raced over 1.4km with qualifying heats, quarterfinals and semifinals ahead of the A-finals.

Sunday: Lämsä doubles up as Liekari takes the men’s 10km title

The championships closed on Sunday morning with 10km individual skate races. Having already won Saturday’s freestyle sprint, Lämsä added a second title to her weekend.
