This week Therese Johaug released the book about her career, “Therese Johaug – The Whole Story.” But she didn’t want to reveal the whole story. What Petter Northug wrote in the SMS message from their first meeting?

Now Northug reveals what he wrote to Johaug when they met for the first time. It was at a pizza restaurant connected to a ski race at Savalen, Johaug’s home track near Tynset.

“Imagine if we mix our genes, with your engine and my finishing qualities,” Petter Northug wrote in a text message to Therese Johaug that day.

But then Northug adds a new SMS message:

“But found out that it had ruined the sport.”
