The cross-country World Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Cogne, Italy, with a sprint race in classic technique for women and men. Check out the men’s results.

Erik Valnes, from Norway, took first place in the men’s sprint race in classic technique at the cross-country World Cup in Cogne, Italy. Complete results from the men’s event.

Erik Valnes, from Norway, showed his form and won today’s sprint race with a total time of 2:37.60.

Ansgar Evensen, also from Norway, snagged second place, 0.72 seconds back. Even Northug completed the Norwegian podium in third place, 1.19 seconds behind the winner. 

Richard Jouve and Lucas Chanavat, both from France, rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.

After Italy (Cogne), the World Cup heads to Sweden (Falun) in mid-February and Norway (Trondheim) for the World Championships at the end of February and beginning of March.  

After the World Championships, the World Cup ends the season with weekends in Norway (Oslo), Estonia (Tallinn), and Finland (Lahti).
