The Austrian Olympic Committee has nominated five cross-country skiers to the 2022 Olympics: two women and three men are headed for Beijing in February.

The Austrian Olympic Committee has nominated five cross-country skiers to the 2022 Olympics: two women and three men are headed for Beijing in February.

The most experienced athlete is Teresa Stadlober, who was named for her third Olympics. She was sixth place in the brutal hill climb on the last stage of Tour de Ski 2021/2022 and seventh place overall.

This is Austria’s team to the 2022 Olympics.

  • Michael Foettinger
  • Benjamin Moser 
  • Mika Vermeulen

In total, Austria will be represented in 15 disciplines in Beijing.

Despite the recent surge in Covid infections, the IOC and the Beijing Olympics organizing committee announced that the 2022 Olympics will not be cancelled or postponed. However, stringent anti-covid restrictions will be in place.
