Sprint action kicked off Energamo Lipnolopet weekend
Friday evening, a roller ski sprint took place in Frymburk, Czech Republic. In the women’s field, the main favorite confirmed her form, while the men’s race was wide open. The main event, the 55km Energamo Lipnolopet, starts today at 10:00 CET.
The day before the main Energamo Lipnolopet event, athletes lined up for the sprint in Frymburk’s town square.
Athletes first faced a qualification round over three laps, with the six fastest advancing to the final, which was also contested over three laps.
In the women’s race, Kateřina Janatová claimed victory. Just two days earlier, she was unsure about participating due to not being fully healthy. Hopefully, the sprint did not harm her chances, and we will also see her in today’s main event. Tereza Hujerová took second place ahead of Adéla Nováková.
