The Roller Ski World Championships had its first day this Thursday with a 15km mass start race in freestyle technique for elite women in Ziano Di Fiemme, Italy.

15km Women’s Race – Ziano Di Fiemme Roller Ski World Championships 

Linn Sömskar (SWE) took first place today at the Ziano Di Fiemme Roller Ski World Championships in the women’s 15km mass start freestyle race with a total time of 34:05.1. Karoline Groetting (NOR) snagged second place, 1.2 seconds behind the winner, and Stefania Corradini (ITA) completed the podium in third place, 2.8 seconds back.

Roller Ski World Championships 2024

The Ziano Di Fiemme Roller Ski World Championships is taking place from September 12 to 15 next week. In Italy, all events will be contested by women, men, junior women, and junior men. On Thursday, September 12, there was a 10/15km mass start race in freestyle technique. On Friday, September 13, a 200m sprint in freestyle technique is taking place.

On Saturday, September 14, it’s time for a team sprint in freestyle technique. On Sunday, September 15, there will be a mass start race in classic technique with 13km for junior women and men and 15km for senior women and men.
