After the men’s prologue, it was the turn of the women’s race. Krista Pärmäkoski was the fastest on the first day of the Vuokatti Aateli Race.

Krista Pärmäkoski was the fastest in the women’s 1.6km freestyle technique prologue, leaving Eveliina Piipo and Venla Lehtonen behind. Pärmäkoski was the clear winner by almost 12 seconds.

“The race went surprisingly well, but the leg was quite heavy. I realized that I had done too many kilometers in the last five days, which showed today. It wasn’t exactly a race that I was fresh, but the result was quite good considering that. Last year, I had a better leg for that climb, so I’m really happy.” Krista Pärmäkoski said after the race to Maastohiihto.com.

The Vuokatti Aateli Race continues tomorrow with a cross-country running race and a 12.5km roller ski competition. The race program is available after the results below.
