Norway’s Team For The World Cup In Les Rousses

The cross-country skiing World Cup heads to Les Rousses in France this weekend. The Norwegian Team is presented.

Les Rousses, France, is the place for this weekend’s cross-country skiing World Cup. The event begins on Friday, January 27, with a 10km race in freestyle technique. On Saturday, January 28, it’s time for a sprint in classic technique. On Sunday, January 29, the World Cup weekend ends with a 20km mass start race in classic technique. 

In a press release, the Norwegian Ski Association has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup in Les Rousses. Norway will start with 27 athletes. On the women’s side, Norway will begin with 13 skiers. Already on the men’s side, 14 athletes will start for the Scandinavian country.

New this season is the same race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.
