Gällivare Premiere – 10km Freestyle – Women’s Race

Moa Ilar (SWE) took home first place today at the Swedish cross-country skiing premiere in the women’s 10km individual start race in freestyle technique with a total time of 25:25.1.

Frida Kalrsson (SWE) snagged second place, 3.6 seconds back, and Ebba Andersson (SWE) completed the podium in third place, 28.6 seconds behind the winner.

Gällivare Premiere

The Swedish FIS season premiere in Gällivare is known for drawing a large and solid field of athletes. For many elite cross-country skiers, these races are an essential performance indicator for the World Cup in Ruka and a good thermometer for the winter.

The program in Sweden, from Friday, November 17, to Sunday, November 19, included a classic sprint on Friday, a 10km classic on Saturday, and a 10km freestyle on Sunday, all with individual starts. The race weekend at Gällivare ran parallel to the Swedish season premiere in Beitostølen.
