The first event of the Junior World Championships is taking place today, Monday, February 5, in Slovenia. It features a sprint race in freestyle technique for junior skiers. Gina Del Rio, from Andorra, clocked the fastest time in the sprint qualifier. 

The top 30 skiers qualified for the sprint finals at the Junior World Championships. The junior women’s sprint final starts at 13:00 CET.
