Johaug to announce future plans next Monday
Therese Johaug has yet to reveal her plans, but a decision is expected soon. According to reports, the Norwegian star will announce her future next Monday.
Therese Johaug made a comeback ahead of the World Championships in Trondheim. The championship did not turn out as the star had hoped, and she went home without any gold medals.
From the beginning, she was clear that it was only a temporary comeback, but after the season finale in Lahti, no announcement about the future came.
When Norway presented its national team squads for the upcoming season, they reserved a spot in the team for Therese Johaug.

Johaug had originally decided to end her comeback career after the 50km race at the World Championships in Trondheim. However, after the championship, she opened to the possibility of continuing her effort through the 2026 Olympics. A final decision will come soon.
“I am tired after a long and eventful season and feel that I am not ready to make a decision about the future now. Therefore, I have asked for some more time before making a final decision. It is important to me that such an important decision is made when I have the energy and am ready for it,” the traditional cross-country skiing star said before the Norwegian squad selection at the end of April.
