Johaug reveals baby’s gender
Therese Johaug is pregnant with her second child and due in January. Now, she has revealed the baby’s gender.
“It’s going to be a little boy,” Therese Johaug told Dagbladet.
The 37-year-old shared the news during the premiere of the documentary about Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, which will be released in cinemas across Norway on Friday, November 14.
It was in August that Johaug announced she was expecting her second child. In January, she and her husband, Nils Jakob Hoff, will become parents of two. The couple already has a daughter, Kristin, born on May 17, 2023.
Johaug also recently revealed that her pregnancy is the reason she decided not to pursue a comeback for this winter’s Olympic Games in Italy.

Ambitious comeback plans
Johaug’s due date is January 17. After giving birth, she already has a packed schedule lined up.
First, she will serve as an expert commentator for NRK during the Milano-Cortina Olympic Winter Games, taking place from February 6 to 22, 2026.
In March, she plans to return to racing, with Birkebeinerrennet as her comeback goal.
And in September, the former Olympic champion aims to run a half-marathon under 1 hour and 10 minutes in Copenhagen, where the race also serves as the World Championships.
