The Olos/Muonio Ski Race Weekend started today in Muonio with a classic sprint race for women and men. There was a fierce battle between Finland, Germany and Italy in the women’s event, with Jasmi Joensuu winning the sprint race.

The Olos/Muonio Ski Race Weekend started today in Muonio with a classic sprint race for women and men. There was a fierce battle between Finland, Germany and Italy in the women’s event, with Jasmi Joensuu winning the sprint race.

Jasmi Joensuu (FIN) took first place today at the women’s sprint classic technique race. Laura Gimmler (GER) grabbed second place, and Coletta Rydzek (GER) completed the podium in third place.

Olos/Muonio Ski Race Weekend

The Olos/Muonio Ski Race Weekend in Finland is known for drawing a large and solid international field. For many elite traditional cross-country skiers, these races are an essential performance indicator for the World Cup in Ruka and a good thermometer for the winter.

The event weekend started this Friday, November 15, with a sprint race in classic technique. On Saturday, November 16, a 10km classic technique event awaits. And on Sunday, November 17, the weekend ends with a 10km freestyle race.
