Jens Burman won today’s 50km race at the Swedish Championships Week

The Swedish Championships Week 2024 started last Wednesday, March 20, with a 20km mass start race in freestyle technique. On Thursday, a team sprint in classic style followed, and on Friday, a 10km individual start race in classic technique. 

After a rest day on Saturday, the competitions resumed with a sprint in freestyle technique on Sunday, followed by a freestyle technique relay on Monday. Today, Tuesday, March 26, the Swedish Championships Week ends with a 30km/50km race in classic technique for women and men, respectively.

50km Classic – Men

Jens Burman, Åsarna IK, won the 50km race in classic technique with a total time of 2:15:07.2. Truls Gisselman, Rehns BK, finished in second place, 33.4 seconds back.

Fredrik Andersson, Piteå Elit SK, completed the podium in third place, 59.4 seconds behind the winner. 

Axel Jutterström, Team Eksjöhus/IFK Mora SK, and Oskar Svensson, Falun Borlänge SK, rounded out the top five by finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.
