The cross-country skiing World Cup season 2023/2024 starts this weekend in Ruka, Finland. The French national team is now selected.

The cross-country skiing World Cup season 2023/2024 starts this weekend in Ruka, Finland. The French national team is now selected.

Ruka, Finland, is the place for this year’s cross-country skiing World Cup premiere. The event starts on Friday, November 24, with a sprint race in classic technique. On Saturday, November 25, a 10km classic style race with individual start awaits. And on Sunday, November 26, the World Cup premiere weekend ends with a 20km mass start race in freestyle technique. 

In a press release, the French Ski Federation has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup premiere in Ruka. France will start with 12 athletes. On the women’s side, France will start with 4 skiers. Already on the men’s side, 8 athletes will start for the European country.

  • Delphine Claudel – Armée La Bressaude (Massif des Vosges)
  • Flora Dolci – Armée AS Edelweiss (Alpes Provence)
  • Juliette Ducordeau – Villard de Lans (Dauphiné)

Men’s National Team

  • Julien Arnaud – SC Montgenèvre Val Clarée (Alpes Provence)
