According to the Local Organizing Committee, “After the Pre-World Championships in 2014 and the World Championships in 2015, since 2018 Val di Fiemme has established itself as a fixed stage in the FIS Roller Ski World Cup calendar, organizing the final stages of the circuit. After the ‘forced pause’ due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2021 Val di Fiemme returned to the forefront of the FIS Roller Ski calendar, organizing the Championships for the second time,” and added:

“Last summer, the Fiemme Team went to Rieti and Amatrice to support the Local Organizing Committee in organizing the FIS World Cup finals in the summer of 2022. Now it’s time for the best roller skiers in the world to return to Val di Fiemme, which in 2026 will host the Nordic disciplines of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.”
