Ersson – Sprint winner at the Swedish Championships

He waited a long time, but once he pushed in the final, George Ersson was the strongest and took gold in the sprint at the Swedish Championships.

Ville Jutterdal, born in 2008, made a big impression and was the fastest of all men in the prologue. The junior skier made it to the sprint final, where he finished fourth. But the third over the finish line, Anton Persson, was ranked as last on the final after a Jury decision.

But first across the finish line was George Ersson:

“It was a tricky course; it’s pretty windy, so knowing what was best tactically was hard. I chose a little different tactics in the heats, says Ersson to SVT.

“I take this, like many others, as part of the training. It’s nice to have some competition to break up the training,” says Ersson.

Karl-Johan Westberg took another medal at the Swedish Championships week by finishing second, and Ville Jutterdal took the bronze.
