Erik Valnes winner at the World Cup sprint in Oberhof
Erik Valnes (NOR) took first place at the Oberhof sprint race in classic technique with a total time of 2:42.75. The Norwegian cross-country skier was followed by Ansgar Evensen, from Norway, 0.40 seconds back, in second place.
Even Northug, also from Norway, completed the podium in third place, 3.31 seconds behind the winner.
Harald Østberg Amundsen, from Norway, and Valerio Grond, from Switzerland, rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.
