Beijing 2022: Women’s 4x5km Relay Start List And Favorites

Saturday, February 12, the women’s 4x5km relay race marks the sixth day of cross-country skiing events at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

A total of 72 women from 18 nations are confirmed to start. The 18 teams are comprised of four athletes each, with two athletes skiing classic and the last two skiing freestyle technique. Below you can check out your favorite cross-country skiing team from the start list.

Four teams are the favorite for the medal places this Saturday. Finland with Anne Kylloenen, Johanna Matintalo, Kerttu Niskanen and Krista Parmakoski; Russian Olympic Committee with Yulia Stupak, Natalia Nepryaeva, Tatiana Sorina and Veronika Stepanova; Norway with Tiril Udnes Weng, Therese Johaug, Helene Marie Fossesholm and Ragnhild Haga; and Sweden with Maja Dahlqvist, Ebba Andersson, Frida Karlsson and Jonna Sundling.

A solid American team with Hailey Swirbul, Rosie Brennan, Novie McCabe, and Jessie Diggins can be a surprise. Darkhorse and national hope for a medal is the China’s Team with Chunxue Chi, Xin Li, Bayani Jialin, and Qinghua Ma.
