Last week, Team Engcon presented its roster for the Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XVII, and one of the most notable absences was long-distance star Ida Dahl.
Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, won the 62-kilometer-long 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon in a decisive solo breakaway today in Italy, her second win of Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XV.
ProXCskiing.com talked with the Swedish Pro Tour star, who had recently clinched second place at the 90km Klarälvsloppet. Ida Dahl opened up about her challenging summer training, the surprises at Klarälvsloppet, the evolution of women’s long-distance skiing, and her advice for aspiring skiers.
The overall win was decided in the last event Season XIV. Now, Team Engcon’s Ida Dahl has taken home the Ski Classics Yellow Champion bib for the first time.

Last weekend Ida Dahl won Tjejvasan after a thrilling sprint finish. The Team Engcon’s athlete is now chasing victory at Vasaloppet: “Of course, the finish at Tjejvasan gave extra confidence,” says Dahl.
The Ski Classics Challengers event, Tjejvasan, took place this Saturday with a 30km long-distance race in classic technique from Oxberg to Mora, Sweden.
Grönklitt Criterium, the ninth Ski Classics event of Season XIV, took place today in Sweden. Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, won the 50-kilometer-long race in a challenging course and breathtaking battle for the podium.
Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, won the 50-kilometer-long Grönklitt Criterium in a solo breakaway in Sweden, her fourth victory this Season.
