The Roller Ski World Championships opened this Thursday in Madona, Latvia, with 10km individual start races in classic technique for senior men and senior women.

Madona Roller Ski World Championships: 10km senior men’s race

Andreas Bergsland (NOR) took home first place in the senior men’s 10km classic technique race, crossing the line in a total time of 23:11.4. 

Amund August Korsaeth (NOR) snagged second place, 45.7 seconds back, and Thomas Bing (GER) completed the podium in third place, 53.3 seconds behind the winner.

Ragnhild Aarekol (NOR), 27:27.9  took first place in the senior women’s 10km classic technique race with a total time of 27:27.9. 

Aleksandra Kolodziej (POL) snagged second place, 3.0 seconds behind the winner, and Aleksandra Kolodziej (POL) completed the podium in third place, 11.0 seconds back.
