Engadin Skimarathon – a unique cross-country skiing experience

The Engadin Skimarathon (Sunday, March 8, 2026) is the second-largest cross-country ski race in the world. Each year, Switzerland’s largest sporting event attracts around 13,500 cross-country enthusiasts from over 60 nations to the high valley of the Grisons.

Since 1969, thousands of participants have skied the marathon route from Maloja to S-chanf on the second Sunday in March. Forty-two kilometres of pure cross-country skiing pleasure await you: across three frozen mountain lakes, past traditional Engadin villages, and through a snow-covered winter landscape.

Anyone who has once immersed themselves in this unforgettable “Engadin experience” will always want to be part of this special race. The Engadin Half Marathon, the Engadin Women’s Race, and the Engadin Night Race are also on the programme during the marathon week from March 1 to 8, 2026.

Starting places are still available for the Engadin Skimarathon and the other races. Register by December 31, 2025, to benefit from reduced entry fees.
