IL Heming is looking for a new head coach for the HL group.

IL Heming will hire a new head coach for the athletes in the ‘Hovedlandsrennngruppa’ in the club. The HL group trains three to four times a week and has around 35 athletes.

“This is one of the largest HL groups in the country,” says IL Heming Sports Director Eivind Tonna.

“Our new trainer will have the main responsibility for this group, including planning, carrying out, and evaluating the group’s training. There will also be some follow-up and training planning for the group members, as well as attendance at important competitions,” he says.

See detailed description of work tasks and areas of responsibility further down in the article.

The club’s training sessions vary between running, rollerskiing, skiing, and strength and are normally run at Hemingbanen, Holmenkollen, and Hemingseter.

The club is now looking for a new head coach because the current coach is leaving, and the club must therefore find a replacement.

Details and tasks

IL Heming is looking for a Head Coach who:

  • Has knowledge through education and practice to lead the HL group and its coaches
  • Communicates well with young people and is clear
  • Has great enthusiasm for skiing and wants to spread the joy of skiing that will last a lifetime
  • Can be a good role model for our young people
  • Has the opportunity to work in the evenings and some weekends
  • Can see both individuals and the whole group – we want to keep as many as possible for as long as possible
  • Is structured, committed, flexible, has good collaboration skills
  • Wants varied work tasks
  • Applicants must be able to show a clean record and by police certificate
  • Joining by agreement

“If you want to have more responsibility, this position can possibly be expanded to become a position of up to 50 percent. As a coach, you have solid support from the club administration so you can focus on your tasks. We continuously evaluate the applicants and hope you quickly apply,” says Tonna.

Interested applicants can call sports manager Eivind Tonna on the telephone 92019807 or get in touch by e-mail

Will Hire More Coaches

In addition to a new head coach for the HL group, IL Heming is also looking for coaches for several of the club’s other training facilities.

“We will also need more coaches who have both head coaching responsibilities and assistant coaches in younger groups,” says Tonna.
