For the upcoming Ski Classics Season XV, the team is bringing nine Pro Team athletes, three women and six men: Karin Weltert (1976), Elisabeth Schicho (1991), Marlies Nipius (1982), Adrian Bosshart (1994), Philipp Unger (1998), Matthias Fugger (1991), Tobias Dargatz (1990), Jonathan Göppert (2002), and Alexander Teschke (1973).

Pro Team Director Sabine Freimuth describes the German Pro Team: “We are a Team driven by motivation and the passion for cross-country skiing. For long-distance racing, we have a very good mixture of experienced and young athletes, women and men. Even the mixture of countries from where they come from gives a colored and exciting togetherness of one team. Austria, Switzerland, now the Netherlands, and, of course, Germany, come together to ski the best races!”

Reflecting on their goals for the upcoming season, the Pro Team Director reflects: “Our primary goal is to grow as a Team, supporting each other and taking the next individual steps on the performance ladder. For us, it is very important to be present in many Ski Classics races to present cross-country skiing in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands,” says Freimuth and adds:

“Working on improving the structures in our field of long-distance skiing in Germany is a constant process. Therefore, we build a cooperation with the German National Team. There are few opportunities, and we must take advantage of them.”

xc-ski.de A|N Skimarathon Team strength for the upcoming winter season is clear: “Team spirit and knowing that we do what we love! So, we are ready to race!”
