Tjejvasan 2026 will be livestreamed on SC Play on Saturday, February 21, with English commentary starting at 8:55 CET.

The Ski Classics Challengers event brings thousands of women to the start line in Oxberg for the 30-kilometer journey to Mora, Sweden — and viewers can follow every kilometer live, worldwide!

The live-streaming platform SC Play is included in the ProXCskiing.com membership. Giving full access to all live and on demand content-  including the complete Ski Classics Pro Tour.

The World’s Largest Women-Only Ski Race

Now celebrating its 38th edition, Tjejvasan is considered the world’s largest women-only ski race. Since its premiere in 1988, more than 200,000 finishers have crossed the finish line of this iconic event.

The 30km course follows the classic Vasaloppet track from Oxberg to Mora in classic technique. While the terrain is known for being relatively fast, recent editions show a clear trend: the elite race is increasingly decided in sprint finishes.

The Last Three Editions – Sprint Battles After 30km

2025

  1. Jenny Larsson (SWE) – Lager 157 Ski Team – 1:17:35.8
  2. Louise Lindström (SWE) – Team Eksjöhus – 1:17:36.7 (+0.9)
  3. Julie Kvale Støstad (NOR) – Team Ramudden – 1:17:36.8 (+1.0)

Only one second separated the entire podium in 2025.

2024

  1. Kati Roivas (FIN) – Team Eksjöhus – 1:16:14.5
  2. Emilie Fleten (NOR) – Team Ramudden – 1:16:15.1 (+0.6)
  3. Moa Lundgren (SWE) – 1:16:15.2 (+0.7)

Just 0.7 seconds covered the top three.

2023

  1. Ida Dahl (SWE) – Team Engcon – 1:18:21.2
  2. Magni Smedås (NOR) – Team Eksjöhus – 1:18:21.2 (+0.0)
  3. Emilie Fleten (NOR) – Team Ramudden – 1:18:23.5 (+2.3)

Dahl and Smedås shared the exact same winning time, underlining how tactical the race has become.

The course record still belongs to Britta Johansson Norgren, who clocked 1:15:39 in 2022 — the fastest performance in race history.

With this level of competitiveness and depth in the elite field, Tjejvasan 2026 could once again be decided in a sprint on Vasagatan.

Part of Ski Classics Challengers

Tjejvasan is part of Vasaloppet’s Winter Week and included in the Ski Classics Challengers series. Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions, while recreational skiers share the same course and atmosphere.

That mix of elite racing and mass participation remains one of the event’s defining characteristics.
