Lapponia Ski Week, a three-stage Ski Classics Challengers event, had its second stage today with a 50km long-distance race in freestyle technique in Finland. Get to know the winners of Stage 2.

Lapponia Ski Week, a three-stage Ski Classics Challengers event, had its second stage today with a 50km long-distance race in freestyle technique in Finland. Get to know the winners of Stage 2.

After a long day of action on Stage 2, the Ski Classics Challengers event, Lapponia Ski Week, saw Lauri Vuorinen, Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura, and Anne Kyllönen, Kainuun Hiihtoseura, win the race with outstanding performances.

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 2 – Men’s Race

In the men’s competition, stage 2, the winner was Lauri Vuorinen, Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura, with a time of 1:51:43.0.

Markus Vuorela, Team Mäenpää/Jämin Jänne, finished in second place, 0.1 seconds back, followed by Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää/Lost in Lapland, completing the podium in third position and 1.0 seconds behind the winner.

  1. Lauri Vuorinen, Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura, 1:51:43.0
  2. Markus Vuorela, Team Mäenpää, +0.1
  3. Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää/Lost in Lapland, +1.0

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 2 – Women’s Race

In the women’s race, Anne Kyllönen, Kainuun Hiihtoseura, with a time of 2:03:25.0, won ahead of Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Hiihtocenter 365, in second place and 2:51.0 back.

Third place went to Eveliina Toivanen, AT Ski Team, 9:04.0 behind the winner.

  2. Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Hiihtocenter 365, 2:51.0
